Marita O'Hanlon is an undergraduate student at the at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. She attends both the School of Education and the School of Fine Art in the college studying the BA (Joint Hons) in Education  and Fine Art programmes. Marita's specialism is in Painting which she studies in the School of Fine Art. She has taught art and design at the post-primary level during school placements in Colaiste Muire in Ballymote, Co. Sligo and Mount St. Michael in Claremorris, Co. Mayo.

Maritas art practice is drawing and painting based and reflects her interest in people occupied in an interest, in their particular space, the background, how their understated language of the body, how they pose and their sense of empathy, communicate with us and make us aware of them, their identities and how we see them.
